Harvey Lockhart
Director of Point of View
HEAL Founder, Executive, and Artistic Director
Harvey Lockhart is an agent of love, healing, and understanding.
He is a husband, father, saxophonist, composer, educator, and real estate investor. Through his music, his passion for education, and his work in real estate, Harvey strives to create opportunities, uplift communities, and inspire others to do what we all can do—make a difference.
As a passionate African American artist and educator, Harvey is committed to creating positive change through the music he composes and the students he teaches. He honors the love, fervor,
and dedication of his former teachers—those who inspired him and
his peers to rise above the harmful and complicit behaviors that continue to affect urban communities. Carrying that same spirit, he seeks to empower the next generation of musicians and listeners
with music that is honest, purposeful, and uplifting.
Harvey believes that music is a powerful therapeutic force—one that documents our past, speaks truth to our present, and shapes the possibilities of our future. His hope is that his work will encourage society to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and to embrace a future rooted in hope and love.
